Pushan Mudra is one of the most important mudra to keep the body nourished. This mudra is said to be dedicated to God Surya. In this mudra both our hands have different gestures with the formation of mudra with one hand signifies accepting or receiving and the gesture of other hand signifies to let go.
What exactly this means to our health
In simple language it is said that Pushan mudra helps in digesting the food intake and also in eliminating the wate too, by stimulating the brain of the practitioner.
Method of perform the Pushan mudra
For the right hand The thumb, index finger and the middle finger are to be touched with the tips; the rign finger and small finger are extended.
For left hand
The thum, middle finger and ring finger ar touched at the tips; the index finger and the little finger are extended
With this we are done with the Pushan mudra. Both the hands should be coordinated.
Benefits of this mudra
1. It has a relaxing effect on solar plexus, as said it is dedicated to sun god the area of this is the stomach, liver and spleeen.
2. The mudra regulates energies in nervous system, as we know that the tips of our fingers have the end point of the nerves.
3. The performance of this mudra has an excellent effect on general sickness, like nausea flatulence etc.
4. It mobilizes the energies of elimination and detoxifies the body.
5. As we practice the mudra we also practice deep brathing, this in turn stimulates the functions of the brain.

7. Pushan mudra is said to be practiced four to five times a day.
